Kromer Investments Inc. was established in 2004, and is the successor to company principals, Grady W. Kromer and Cheryl L. Kromer. For a period of over 30 years, the Kromers self-managed various rental properties, including multi-family apartment communities, retail and professional office space. While the day-to-day operations and management functions have been turned over to the professional staff of Kromer Investments, Inc., the Kromers actively oversee all aspects of the organization. Currently, Kromer Investments, Inc., has a combined staff of more than 100 employees and manages properties in California and Reno, NV.

Meet Our Team

Stephen Kromer – Vice President

Mr. Stephen Kromer was appointed Vice President of Kromer Investments, Inc. and its various divisions in January 2017.

From 2001 to 2008 he held multiple positions within Deloitte, and PwC, gaining valuable experience in Fortune 500 companies by performing financial statement audits, advisory and consulting projects, royalty and contract dispute analyses, and fraud and piracy investigations. In 2008, Stephen decided to join Kromer Investments, Inc. full time and help manage the exponential growth the company was facing. With guidance from Kromer Investments’ founders and the excellent upper management team, Kromer Investments, Inc. has grown to be unrivaled in the property management and real estate industry in Northern Nevada. Stephen is a certified public accountant in the State of Nevada and also holds a Certified Fraud Examiner designation. In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Environmental Studies/Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In his free time he enjoys family, golf, skiing, BBQs, and power boating on Lake Tahoe while listening to Stephen Marley.

Mike Acosta – Technology Infrastructure Officer

Mike worked in the construction and communications industry for over 30 years and received several fiberoptic certifications before joining Kromer Investments in 2017. As the Director of Construction & Commercial Management, Mike oversees construction projects and implements new technologies to encourage advancement and meet the goals of the company. Mike is motivated by imagining what the future holds and how he can incorporate exciting and innovative technology into the day-to-day operations of Kromer Investments. In his free time, Mike enjoys playing video games and gaining inspiration from the futuristic technological advancements of his favorite anime, Ghost in the Shell.

Kim Moats – Controller

Kim began her career with Kromer Investments in 2003 as the Controller after working as a staff accountant at Mark Bailey & Co CPAs for 6 years. She attended the University of Natal, South Africa and the University of Nevada, Reno to become a CPA. She is motivated by her family and passion for joy. She loves the diversity of her job because there is never a dull moment—even in accounting! In her free time, she loves to hike, snowboard, camp, listen to live music, play pickleball, and spend time with her family at the lake.

Stacy Romero – Staff Development Manager

Stacy started her career in property management as a Leasing Professional with Kromer Investments in 2006. She was a Community Manager for 11 years before becoming one of the first Portfolio Managers in the company. After many years of being a portfolio manager, she has now stepped into a new role as a Staff Development Manager. Stacy has an extensive and vast knowledge of the industry and is ready to educate, encourage, motivate, and lead her team to meet their goals as leasing professionals for all Kromer properties. Stacy is a loving mother to two children and her family motivates her every day. She is also motivated by seeing personal growth and progression (including in the gym)! In her free time, Stacy enjoys traveling with her family and sharing new experiences.

Amanda Duarte – Recruiter

Amanda joined Kromer Investments in 2018 and began her career as a recruiter. She enjoys getting to meet new people, hear their dreams, and find a position that can help them achieve their professional goals. Amanda’s daughter is the light of her life and motivates her every day to do better and better. In her free time, Amanda likes to stay on top of current events—including those of the paranormal variety. She loves reading about topics that interest her and finding motivated, enthusiastic candidates while sipping on iced caramel lattes.

Stephanie Medellin – Portfolio Manager

Stephanie started working for Kromer Investments in 2013 as a Leasing Professional and continued to Assistant Manager, Property Manager and now Portfolio Manager overseeing three communities in Reno & Sparks, NV. She is a board member for the IREM Chapter 89 in Tahoe/NV and also has her ARM certification. Stephanie is passionate about learning and teaching those who want to learn. Training is what motivates her, and helping a person grow in this industry gives her “all the feels.” In her free time, Stephanie loves spending time with her four sisters and their families. She also enjoys camping and exploring with her husband and their son.

Koralynn Birmingham – Portfolio Manager

Koralynn began her career in property management in 2015 as a floating Leasing Professional, assisting multiple communities for Kromer Investments. She was promoted to Community Manager in 2019 and as a rising star, became a Portfolio Manager in 2020, overseeing five communities in Sparks, NV. Koralynn’s role as a Portfolio Manager is to guide and assist her team to meet and exceed their goals. She stays motivated by helping her team succeed and continuously learning more each and every day to provide the best customer service. Koralynn likes to spend her free time with family, friends, and especially her mini goldendoodle!

Erika McDonald – Marketing Manager

Erika started her career in property management as a Leasing Professional for Kromer Investments in 2017. She has a BS in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Nevada, Reno and has a Digital Marketing certification from the Digital Marketing Institute. She joined the Marketing department in 2018 and became the Marketing Manager in 2020. Erika manages the websites, social media channels, and community outreach projects of our apartment communities and she is motivated by helping prospective residents find the right home to meet and exceed their needs, like an apartment matchmaker! Erika spends her free time riding her bike, relaxing along the Truckee River, and trying every new milk-alternative that she can find in her coffee.
